The Hanwha Eagles played their last game of the season against the NC Dinos at Hanwha Life Eagles Park on the 29th.

Now, the Hanwha Eagles will leave Eagles Park and open the era of baseball dream park with 20,000 seats starting next year.

Hanwha Life Eagles Park, which produced permanent absent players such as Jang Jong-hoon, Song Jin-woo, Jung Min-chul and Kim Tae-kyun, will be remembered in the hearts of fans as a place where active players including Ryu Hyun-jin sweat.

Built in 1964 in Busa-dong, Jung-gu, Daejeon, the first name of the baseball stadium was Hanbat Sports Complex Baseball Stadium.

With the opening of professional baseball in 1982, the OB Bears, the predecessor of the Doosan Bears, used it as their home stadium, but as OB left Daejeon and moved its base to Seoul three years later, Hanbat Sports Complex became the home ground for Binggrae Eagles, which was founded in 1985.

History began on April 1, 1986, when the first home game of the Binggrae Eagles was played here.

The Eagles, whose parent company later changed to Hanwha, won the last game of the 1999 Korean Series at Jamsil Baseball Stadium, but the journey to the top that year took place at Hanbat Sports Complex.

The baseball stadium, which has been renamed Daejeon Hanwha Life Eagles Park since 2011, has been undergoing constant renovation since the following year to welcome fans.

The Eagles have played 2,213 regular-season games at the stadium so far this year, with 1,67 wins, 41 draws, and 1,105 losses.

It was a small baseball stadium with 12,000 seats, but fans have been breathing with the players for nearly 40 years, shouting "the strongest Hanwha.

Numbers 35, 21, 23, and 52 are hung in the stands on the third base of Hanwha Eagles Park.

Jang Jong-hoon, Song Jin-woo, Jung Min-cheol, and Kim Tae-kyun are the main characters of this number.

The Hanwha Eagles selected the number of those who played at Eagles Park as their permanent number and made it impossible for any player to use it in the future.

Jang Jong-hoon, who joined as a trainee, gained great fame with 340 career home runs.

Song Jin-woo, who has 210 wins in professional baseball, has been on the Eagles mound for 20 years since 1989, receiving support from home fans.

"Daejeon native" Jung Min-cheol played 2,394 innings for the Eagles, winning 161 games and gaining huge popularity for his good looks.

Kim Tae-kyun, a big shot with a career batting average of .320, was the only player in Hanwha with poor team performance and became the main character of Eagles Park.

In addition, Koo Dae-sung and Han Yong-deok burned their youth in a baseball stadium with a long history.

In addition, Ryu Hyun-jin's number 99, who sweated at Hanwha Eagles Park as an active player, is likely to be left as the team's permanent number in the future.

The era of Hanwha Life Eagles Park is just over, but professional baseball games will be held at Baseball Dream Park starting next year.

Baseball Dream Park, which began construction in March, plans to be built with two basement floors and four ground floors with a total area of 58,594 square meters.

In addition to the baseball stadium, it is equipped with facilities such as swimming pools, artificial surfing pools, and outdoor parks, which can be used by citizens in various ways.

Daejeon City is considering how to use Hanwha Eagles Park.

Until now, it is likely to be used as infrastructure for baseball stadiums for local communities.
